About Us

Witham View Veterinary Surgery is an independent small animal practice owned and run by two vets (Avril & Nicola) with 25 years of combined experience. We are situated in the heart of the beautiful village of Woodhall Spa, with a modern well equipped surgery and plentiful on-site parking.​

​

We are a friendly and approachable team with a passion to keep your pet happy and healthy. Our surgery is well equipped with digital x-ray, ultrasound, in-house laboratory and above all caring staff to provide excellent support for your pet. If your pet would prefer a visit at home we may be able to arrange this for you

Meet The Team

Dr Avril Mahfouz
BVM&S MRCVS
​

I graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2010. Since then I have worked in both mixed and small animal practice. I enjoy all aspects of veterinary practice, but have particular interests in behavioural and preventative medicine

​

In my spare time I enjoy walking my with my kids and dog around the Lincolnshire countryside. 

Dr Nicola Williams
BVetMed MRCVS
​

I graduated from the Royal Veterinary College, London in 2001. After starting my career in mixed practice in Wales I have settled in Lincolnshire for the last 20 years. I have an interest in pain management and chronic cases and I am trained in Western Medical Acupuncture.

​

Outside of work I enjoys adventures with my two young boys.

Mr Neale Richards
BVSc MRCVS

I graduated from Bristol University in 1989. Since qualifying I have worked in mixed, small and large animal practice in the West Midlands and Lincolnshire.

I have settled in Lincolnshire for the last 30 years and joined Witham View Vets in 2021 and currently work in all aspects of Small Animal Veterinary Practice.

Outside of work I enjoy walking and mountain biking.

Elizabeth Smith
PgCert SAM BVMS MRCVS

I graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2012. Since graduating I have worked in mixed and small animal practices throughout Lincolnshire and joined Witham view in 2023. I have a particular interest in endocrinology cases and have completed the post graduate certificate in small animal medicine.

 

Outside of work I enjoy exploring the lincolnshire countryside with my family and labrador

Stephanie Toulson

 

Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN)


I graduated in September 2021 as an Registered veterinary nurse this is what I have always wanted to be and I have worked in different practices and enjoy all aspects of my role. During my studying I went to South Africa and got to work closely with the veterinary surgeons during my two weeks there. Outside of work I spend my time with my family and my Yorkshire Terrier called Lilly.

Jasmine Cooper
Head Nurse (RVN)

I started work as a veterinary care assistant in 2014.  In 2018 I qualified as a veterinary nurse. I have a particular interest in radiography and anaesthesia, although I do enjoy all aspects of veterinary nursing.

​

In my spare time I enjoy caring for and spending time with my cat, horse and two dogs.

Charlotte Ball
Head Nurse (RVN)

I have been qualified since 2016. I enjoy all aspects of nursing but particularly enjoy inpatient care, teaching students and feline medicine and care.

I have two cats called Ivy and Bonnie. Outside of work I enjoy swimming and reading.

I have worked in the veterinary industry as a veterinary nursing assistant since 2007 and joined Witham View Vets as a Receptionist in June 2019. 

​

I enjoy meeting all the different animals and their owners

 

My hobbies are gardening, being outdoors with my dog Scruff, camping and keeping active when I can.

Tiana Clark BSC Hons
Registered Veterinary Nurse

I graduated in July 2022 as a Registered Veterinary Nurse from Nottingham Trent University. In July 2024 I graduated with an Honours Degree in Advanced Veterinary Nursing. I enjoy all aspects of nursing but particularly enjoy anaesthetics.

​

I have one dog called Luna. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family and going on day trips.

Kerri Hawbrook

Receptionist

I joined the practice as a receptionist in September 2021. However I have over 30 years or experience on reception or admin work.


I am enjoying learning new things and meeting customers and their pets.

In my spare time I enjoy taking my classic car to shows and weekend breaks.

Corinne Williams

Receptionist

I have worked in an administraive role for the past 40 years including living and working in Spain for 8 years.  I joined Witham View Vets in 2021 and thoroughly enjoy the role of receptionist as it gives me the oppurtinuity to meet and talk with clients and thier pets

​

Outside or work I love walking int he Lincolnshire countryside and helping with my grandchildren and their pet tortoise, Kappa.

Chelsea Barfoot

Veterinary Nursing Assistant/Receptionist

 

I joined the practice in June 2022 as a Veterinary Nursing Assistant. I am currently studying with the College Of Animal Welfare completing my Level 2 Veterinary Assistant course.

I love all aspects of my role but I have a particular interest in inpatient care and supporting during procedures.

​

In my spare time I enjoy reading, travelling, walks and spending time with my dog Cooper and my shetland pony.
